Mark French is an award-winning interactive Art Director who’s developed his keen eye and knack for color working on many world-class brands for over a decade. Fortunately, Mark got started early on his creative pursuits, and in 1978 managed to win two awards in the National Children’s Film Festival for concepting and acting in the short “The Crummy Awards.” It may seem unusual to see “Score Composer” next to “Director” but that’s the sort of talent it takes to be a man of Mark’s stature. (No fooling, he’s 6’9”.) For six years Mark was a guitarist and songwriter in critically acclaimed band Endangered Species, hence the composing skills. Endangered Species performed in and around San Francisco, including the Shoreline Amphitheater in the late ’80s/early ’90s, and even banged out three independent recordings. Rock. Speaking of, Mark’s extensive knowledge of music, music history and ability to remember obscure and arcane trivia led to a night as a contestant on Rock ‘n’ Roll Jeopardy in 1999. We can’t tell you what happened, so feel free to check out the dramatic footage at www.plussignfilms.com/rnrj. Writer. Rock star. Director. TV game show contestant. Vive la French! |
